Shuttle from Featherston 9am to Kaitoke, plus Mountain Bike Hire

Ride the Remutaka Rail Trail ex Featherston. Shuttle from Featherston 9am or to the start point at Kaitoke (approx 930am), then cycle through to Featherston by 2.15pm to return the bikes.

Simply make your way to the carpark of The Royal Hotel in Featherston, by 9am. We'll pick you up in our shuttle, with your bikes all loaded and ready to go. Shuttle through to Kaitoke (for a 28km ride to Featherston). Once we arrive we'll set you up with capable and comfortable mountain bikes, then give you a quick briefing on what to expect for the day. You'll start your adventure with a very gradual incline through beautiful native bush. Pass through tunnels (headlights provided!) and over bridges, while checking out information boards detailing the enormous task of constructing the old fell railway system. Reach the summit - a large grassy plateau perfect for a picnic or cold drink - then enjoy a fun (but easily controllable!) descent to Cross Creek and back to The Royal in Featherston. We pass through Featherston at 2.15pm, so we can pick up the bikes then, or if you'd prefer to leave earlier than that we can give you bike locks so you can secure them and carry on.

We buy our bikes specifically for local trail conditions, and only use modern mountain bikes, complete with comfy gel seats, front suspension, and quality components. All bikes are then customised to rider height and preferences. In short, our equipment won't let you down.
